Sushi words

Agari
It is green tea. Agari means start in English.
So sushi restaurants give us tea first of all.

Kappa
It is cucumber. A kind of Japanese monster “Kappa”

loves cucumber.

The Kappa is a combination of frog, turtle and monkey.

Gari
It is a type of pickled vegetables.

It is sweet, thinly sliced young ginger that has been marinated
